After careful consideration, HoloLabs Distribution is officially closing its doors.
What started as an ambitious vision — a fully automated, API-integrated music distribution platform for independent artists — became one of the most technically demanding projects we've taken on. We onboarded real artists, processed real releases, built real infrastructure, and showed up every single day to make it work.
Ultimately, the aggregator landscape didn't meet our requirements. We needed true API-level integration to deliver the platform we promised — and we refused to operate in a compromised capacity. That's not who HoloLabs is.
So we're closing with our integrity intact.
HoloLab Recordings
is just getting started.
Our label arm — HoloLab Recordings — remains fully active and is where our future lives. We're focused on a tighter, more intentional roster with deeper artist development, creative direction, and long-term partnership.
Distribution was always infrastructure. The music was always the point.
You have until April 24, 2026 to migrate your catalog to a new distributor. All outstanding royalties will be paid in full — final statements will be issued no later than June 15, 2026. If you have any open matters, reply to our last correspondence and we'll make it right. We recommend DistroKid, TuneCore, Amuse, or Symphonic as solid alternatives.
